I’m always looking for more branded company podcasts to listen to and review, and my favorite place to learn about them is when companies and production partners submit them to the Brands In Audio directory!
Brands In Audio is a resource I curate with support from Sounds Profitable and Lower Street, and our goal is for it to be the most comprehensive place to see and learn from the universe of branded podcasts. There’s not enough recognition and resources for people making great shows that have the extra degree of difficulty of delivering on company marketing needs.
Preamble aside, today’s show was submitted by JAR Audio on behalf of Thinkific:
Thinkific is a platform for monetizing online courses, community, and membership - a space I know well from my time working at Patreon. It’s great to see them put together a branded podcast focused around the stories of creators. It’s also a relatively crowded space not surprisingly; since creators tend to be big makers and consumers of podcasts and video, there are lots of branded and general interest shows about creators.
That’s great for listeners like me who love the creator economy, and Thinkific is a worthy new entrant! They have released three episodes so far with host and Thinkific CEO Greg Smith interviewing creators and entrepreneurs about their process and business approach. It’s nice that at least in the episode I listened to with Jon Youshaei, there isn’t an overt push about the Thinkific product. The show could certainly highlight creators who are prominently using Thinkific, and I suspect they’ll incorporate that more over time.
What I especially like in the interviews is that Greg approaches the conversations with a real enthusiasm and respect for forming and growing a creative business. It makes sense as he’s on somewhat that same journey, and it comes across well. The show now has a spot in my coveted rotation!
