Generally podcasts launch with either a trailer episode that introduces the show format with narration of clips in a ~2 minute preview, or a full length episode that launches straight into the regular show format. Branded company podcasts generally align to these models, so it was interesting to see how Buzzsprout kicked off their new show:
Happy to Help
The show focuses on customer support - how they run it at Buzzsprout and more general best practices. Their first episode is dedicated to introducing the production team - host and Head of Podcaster Success Priscilla Brooke, and producer Jordan. While in some cases I could see the extended introductions keeping the listener from getting immersed in the themes of the show, I think it really works here!
Buzzsprout and the team are making this show in large part because of how passionate they are about providing excellent support to their podcaster customers, so it makes sense to convey the unique passion and career journeys of the team making the show.
