I think the branded company podcast from The American Chemical Society could do wonders for influencing the reputation of the organization as unexpectedly fun:
Tiny Matters
I discovered the show from its nomination for the Signal Awards, and found it to be a compelling player in the popular science genre. Hosts Sam Jones and Deboki Chakravarti have the combination of science background and writing experience to make the material come alive. The show tackles topics like “what is a memory” and “are we alone in the universe” with short, informative segments (that as a bonus make very effective use of chapter segments). Branding is light, including not even naming ACS in the logo or show description, so it’s a surreptitious way to promote the brand in a well done general interest science show.
