Whether it’s on branded company podcasts or other media formats, luxury brands invest a lot in establishing and reinforcing the personality of their brand. I’ve now discovered two different luxury watch brand podcasts with this one from Audemars Piguet:
The Remasters
The show is hosted by luxury watch dealer Zoe Abelson and it takes the approach of emphasizing aspirational themes the brand wants to be associated with, more so than having the show be about watches themselves. (Though if you’re looking for that, I highly recommend a YouTube channel Wristwatch Revival from a Patreon creator Marshall Sutcliffe.)
I listened to an episode that was an interview with music producer & DJ Mark Ronson. Music and luxury goods are a nice overlapping area - they connected a lot about the idea of “craft”. And the guest connection to the category was nicely lightweight, with a brief discussion about Mark’s experience with watches.
