I don’t always consider podcasts from media companies to meet my criteria for branded company podcasts. But I count it when they make a show that focuses on the brand overall, not just the media properties.
The Official Marvel Podcast
Marvel actually has a really robust podcast strategy where they turn original stories with their superheroes into scripted podcast series. They do a good job building audio soundscapes around the typical superhero fare.
This show though takes a wider, behind-the-scenes look at Marvel the company. Hosts Ellie Pyle and Preeti Chhibber have already gotten big name guests in their first three episodes. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has comic cred as the architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and who better to talk about Wolverine than Hugh Jackman himself. I also love that they bring on some of the many unknown names who bring superhero stories to life.
