The Future Is…
The show has been around for quite a while - they’re up to 57 episodes back to 2019. And every single episode has a title and organizing theme of “the future is…” I listened to their most recent episode “…Flying Above Street Traffic” and it’s really effective for highlighting not just the interesting future potential of flying cars, but also the Honeywell products that will make that future possible.
Host and Honeywell CMO Laura Kelleher’s interview with David Shilliday reinforces how memorable the right metaphors and tag lines can be. I still recall the framing of what Honeywell does as being the various organs in the body sensing and reacting within the overall aircraft, and that autonomous aircraft will be well suited for “dull, dirty, and dangerous jobs”.
