I met with Chris Best from Substack recently, who pointed out to me that Substack has a branded company podcast.
The Active Voice
That shouldn’t come as a surprise, and has a wider message about matching the media your company uses to communicate, with the media of your product and your customers. You probably know Substack as a platform for writers. So of course, Substack has an active company blog often written by the marketing team generally, and with co-founders Chris, Hamish McKenzie, and Jairaj Sethi on the byline sharing in-depth perspectives on the company values and aspirations for writers and readers on the internet.
Substack also is increasingly a solution for podcasters, especially writers who are integrating audio storytelling. And so, fittingly, Hamish started The Active Voice a year ago and features interviews with Substack writers, talking about their writing process. That’s great product + customer medium + marketing channel alignment!
