I like reviewing tech company branded podcasts here, because there is such an explosion of them now, and such interesting choices about how to approach the content and format. It ranges from executives interviewing other executives, to narrative stories that connect products to consumers and pop culture, to the style I’m highlighting today that goes heavy on the technical details.
This show is from Celesta Capital, and they’ve been getting excellent guests, from investors to consulting partners, to tech executives. I really liked their February 27 episode with journalist and writer Anil Ananthaswamy that is a comprehensive history and breakdown of the math used in of modern machine learning. It isn’t afraid to go into the nitty gritty details and important figures in capability development. When shows go deep on the technical side, it’s important to make it accessible to a wider audience. I like how disciplined the show is on taking the time to explain key definitions, even pausing some guest responses to make sure that they are creating entry points for the listener.
