There are a ton of financial services branded company podcasts, so the typical format of experts from the company talking about developments in the market can get pretty repetitive. I liked a few interesting elements of this show:
Talking Markets with Franklin Templeton
With a lot of the baseline market updates, I find myself wondering “how should investors actually feel about this news”, and the episode I listened to addressed that directly. Guest expert Jeff Schulze put things in the context of expectation setting and overall sentiment about that market long term, which I really appreciated.
The episode also incorporated a fun “guess the number” trivia question with the other host. That’s a nice touch I don’t see too often. It inherently gets the listener thinking about their own response and engaging more deeply in the episode.
