Like with Revolutionary Care, the sickle cell podcast I reviewed earlier this week, the entire Taking a Breath show is oriented around their medical focus area, in this case fatal blood clots. The pieces all work nicely together - hosts Leslie Lake and Todd Robertson are themselves blood clot survivors. Each episode features the story of someone affected by blood clots.

In the episode I listened to, it’s the emotional story of a parent who lost their child to a sudden blood clot. That’s a challenging, sensitive story to get right, and the show does a great job of not shying away from the tragedy and second guessing that comes from an unexpected death.
