I guess I’m on somewhat of an international museum kick with my branded company podcasts recently. I reviewed the show from the International War Museum, and today’s is from the International Spy Museum.
First of all, it’s a bit of a trope to have a podcast called [thing] + “cast”, but when it works, it works. The Spy Museum has a podcast, and they’re going to call it SpyCast. I did this myself when I made Dropbox’s podcast for employees and I went the literal route as well, with Dropcast.
Museums and podcasts are such a natural fit. The style of audio storytelling often feels like you are following a museum exhibit learning about a highly curated topic. And I like that the Spy Museum has a mix - some episodes that are about contemporary topics related to international espionage, as well as historical stories like the one I listened to that educate listeners about under the radar, impactful figures.
