Storytelling is such a key part of the work of non-profit organizations - to showcase the impact they have on the communities they serve, drive change in policy, and of course to secure grants and donations. So I’m a big advocate that most non-profits should be telling those stories in audio form, just like the branded company podcasts from corporations. Today I’m highlighting the show from Human Rights Watch, hosted by Ngofeen Mputubwele:
The show has a wide scope of topics and geographic areas of focus, reflecting the range of the organization itself. One thing I particularly noted is the connection they create between podcast episodes and reports that the organization has published, it’s a small but effective touch to drive listeners to their writing and vice versa. The show is relatively new, with 14 episodes since May, and it’s a good one for anyone interested in going deeper on human rights issues.
