I work near one of UCSF’s hospital campuses in San Francisco, so it was fun to come across a branded company podcast from their nearby Oakland division:

Revolutionary Care: An Oakland Story

Specifically the show is from the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and it focuses on local health stories through and through. The focus is on sickle cell and both the community impact and community treatments. Host Akintunde (Tunde Ahmad) is an Oakland native, as are many of the patients and doctors featured in the show.

The show ran for six episodes all released simultaneously in September 2022. It’s not clear if there are further episodes or seasons coming, but at least you can catch up on the short mini-series all at once.
