I’m impressed when branded company podcasts bring to life in audio topics that usually require long-form writing or graphics. Let’s take a look at the podcast from Mathematica:
On the Evidence
Mathematica is “a research and data analytics consultancy” focused on government and non-profit. I listened to a recent episode where host J B Wogan from Mathematica interviewed U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert Santos. The episode is a nice intersection of government and data, and a great example of storytelling about data that makes it easy to follow and compelling in audio. Even more broadly, it also shows the value of guiding an interview to have the expert talk about their lived experience, in this case Santos’ experience in the Latino community and how to close the gap on census participation.
