I listen to just a single episode of a lot of company podcasts. Very few of them make to my playlist for automatic downloading, and the Made by Google podcast meets that high bar.
Made by Google
Since it’s a show about the tech and user insights behind Google's hardware products, I’m already sold as a proud Pixel phone user. But even for listeners who are more casual users of Google services, the podcast is a great lesson in how to craft company stories about the surprising complexity of your products. They’ve done episodes about Fitbit sensors, the new folding devices, and the deep care that goes into the seemingly simple apps like the clock and calculator.
The other great takeaway from the show is how a host with the right experience (or training) in audio makes all the difference. Rachid Finge is a polished and inviting interviewer, which makes sense since he was formerly on air with The Netherlands’ public broadcasting.
