Of all the general interest podcasting formats, scripted fiction is by far the least used in branded company podcasts. I found an ambitious example from Raymond James:
The show tells the story of Megan and Josh Smith, who work with their financial planner Andy Reynolds. “Inspired by true events”, it follows decades of their life of growing their family and eventually retiring. It’s a clever idea to cover this lifespan, where a wide range of financial products come into play. Like all scripted corporate messages it can feel a bit stiff at times (like a joke about what people said about Y2K in the aftermath), but it’s ambitious, heartfelt, and a nice example that more brands can follow.
