It’s week two of the Olympics, and week two of highlighting Olympic-focused podcasts from brands and that show different business models. The show today is the latter:
Keep the Flame Alive
This podcast is a fan-made Olympics love fest. Hosts Jill Jaracz and Alison Brown post at least weekly with interviews and commentary about Olympics summer and winter, and the Paralympics as well. They’ve ramped up the content in advance of and during Paris. I also love that they have a modest Patreon membership business going as well.
I listened to the episode about their experience arriving in Paris for the games, and it was fun to follow their journey in receiving media accreditation, as well as their candid impressions of what was working well and not so well in the setup for media at the games. I’ll have more of the official broadcast partner shows coming up this week, so it was a nice change to also root for a bootstrapped Olympics podcast as well!
