Branded company podcasts can be great for establishing and growing thought leadership credentials in a key area. One of the examples of that from a show I still listen to regularly is:
Inside Intercom
Intercom makes customer service software and their podcast is very long-established, with over 400 episodes dating back to 2015. I’ve listened to 15 of them, which demonstrates I think they consistently put out great material.
A couple things stand out about the show - they share regularly and transparently about their product roadmap and principles. If you’re an Intercom customer or prospect these are great episodes to get an inside peak at what the company is building - and a style of episode I loved doing when I hosted Patreon’s podcast for creators!
Intercom also has great interviews with external experts. One smart thing they do is essentially have two regular co-hosts - Liam Geraghty as host-producer, and Des Traynor the company’s co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer. They do some episodes together, some with Liam interviewing, some with Des interviewing. That provides some variety and I imagine helps make it more feasible to have the ongoing commitment of a senior company exec.
And not surprisingly they have plenty of recent episodes about the impact of AI in customer service. Lots of great topics to choose from to jump in and check out the show.
