Even if a company is unsure about launching a branded company podcast with the scope of the overall business, there are great examples of shows that focus on social impact initiatives specifically. I’ll look at MetLife today, with another one coming up tomorrow:
Inclusion Begins with Me: Conversations That Matter
For MetLife’s show, the focus is about diversity, equity, and inclusion, hosted by their VP and Global Chief DEI Officer Dr. Cindy Pace. They just launched season three of the show, produced by Hueman Group Media, and I listened to their episode “why your email isn’t working” about how work communication norms are changing and how to adapt and be inclusive of different working styles. It did a nice job combining the themes about hybrid work and DEI, with an appropriately light overlay of the MetLife branding of the show.
I also notice when there are production companies specializing in different industries and types of shows. Hueman Group Media has a niche in non-profit and social impact shows. I discovered them through this show, and added a bunch of their shows with other brands to my list to check out for future reviews.
