Last week I covered two of NBC’s Olympics podcasts, The Podium, and Two Guys, Five Rings. Let’s round things out with their other long-running show:

In The Village

The show is effectively on its third season, having released about 20 episodes for the 2021 Tokyo and 2022 Beijing Olympics and now into their daily episodes for Paris. There’s some overlap between In The Village and The Podium - both utilize NBC’s access to interview prominent Olympians and turn that into 10-15 minute tightly edited episodes. In The Village has its own unique voice though, with more emphasis on what athletes do in their downtime and getting to know them outside of competition. The two shows are a nice pair, and an example of catering to the different reasons fans have for tuning in to the Olympics every two years.
