As I’ve noted, libraries are one of my surprisingly prevalent categories of branded company podcasts that I review. Up until now they’ve always been local public libraries though. Today’s review is a variation on that theme, from the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library:
Good Citizen
I listened to an episode with Carla Hayden, the Librarian of Congress, which was fascinating for hearing about U.S. history coming to life, and the evolving and ongoing role of libraries. The combination of this guest from the Library of Congress, and the underlying brand from the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library gave me the impression that the show is all libraries all the time. I wouldn’t mind that, but the theme of the show is actually wide, about what makes someone a “good citizen”, and talking to well known and unexpected guests that highlight different elements of that mindset.
