Earlier this year I reviewed the first branded company podcast from PepsiCo, “Journey to Zero Hunger”, which focuses on their philanthropic efforts. I just discovered a second podcast from the company:
Future Back Drinking with Dr. Athina Kanioura
Dr. Kanioura is PepsiCo’s Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, and the show is produced with TIME. They released the first episode just a couple weeks ago, so I hope more are on the way. That episode did a nice job bringing a mix of innovation and transformation, and gender and diversity discussions into the interview.
I do have to admit that I don’t totally get the show title. Seems like “future-back thinking” is a legitimate but niche business phrase, and “drinking” pushes for a bit more of a connection with PepsiCo. There’s a cute but limited lightning round question about who the guest would want to have a drink with. Even if that aspect didn’t quite land for me, I’m excited for a second show from the consumer goods giant.
