The way I prefer to watch TV shows is starting with the episode itself, and then diving into a recap article or podcast about it. I love hearing the behind-the-scenes stories of how the show is made, and the nuanced themes and commentary.
That’s why I’m a big fan of the branded company podcast from podcast production company Fresh Air Productions:
Fresh Ears
Company founder Neil Cowling is usually the host, and he talks to the team that put together one of the agency’s podcasts with a client. That means you get to hear from both the client side of their brief and goals, and to the production team that executed on the final details. Most recently they’ve been running a series of episodes about trends and interviews in the podcasting industry. Those can be informative, but if you’re just getting started listening I’d recommend jumping back to earlier in the feed so you can hear an example of the agency-client partnership.
