Most of the branded company podcasts I’ve covered here are for well established brands and organizations. There are also lessons for how to use a podcast to establish a new product to prospective customers.
The company makes a podcast listening app of the same name, and I like what they chose to do with the show format. The product’s launch is framed as exciting news, which hosts Sam Sethi and Claire Waite Brown of course are happy to explain to listeners. And episodes go into specific details of product features. Some are the more straightforward elements of podcast organization, and the style works particularly well for explaining the unconventional features like “value for value”, which is an approach to peer to peer micropayments.
I don’t expect to switch away from my favorite podcast listening app Pocket Casts, but I’m at least intrigued and better informed about TrueFans thanks to their podcast about their podcast app.
