This is a 2-for-1 as I discovered both Harvard Business School's Climate Rising podcast and Boston Consulting Group (BCG)'s Climate Vision 2050’s podcast through the guest episode cross-promotion tactic that more branded company podcasts should be employing. (Disclosure: I used to work for BCG.)
Climate Rising
Climate Vision 2050
I’d recommend both crossover episodes, since they cover a nice contrast in styles. The BCG-feed episode “Climate Rising: How BCG Uses AI to Address Climate Change” is an interview between the HBS host and BCG experts. The HBS-feed episode “BCG Climate Vision 2050: Sustainability at 36,000 Feet” is from the format of BCG’s show that takes a hypothetical, narrative approach to tell a story about an aspect of climate in 2050 that presumes the world makes major changes to radically reduce carbon emissions. There’s obvious overlap in the topics, listener audience, and business interests of HBS and BCG and lots of non-branded podcasts do guest and episode swaps - let’s see more branded podcasts take advantage of these opportunities as well!
(Shoutout to the credited teams: Climate Vision 2050 host Nick Howard, narrator Atiba Onen, and production partner Lower Street. Climate Rising host Mike Toffel)
