It’s a powerful storytelling approach to have two creative peers and experts in a discussion together, rather than a traditional interviewer and interviewee format. There are now quite a few podcasts taking that approach, both on the general interest and branded side, including this series from luxury brand Chanel:

Sony Music Entertainment and Something Else are the production partners, and Yana Peel from Chanel hosts, which for the show means introducing the guests for their 1:1 conversation. You can tell that the show has done a great job finding artists that have compelling stories to tell about their craft and process, and put together pairings where both people are excited to have the conversation together.
I’d love to see this format continue to grow among branded company podcasts. And it doesn’t have to be confined to mainstream celebrities and artists. Whatever business your company is in, find and showcase the experts and creatives in the field who want to share and learn from each other in conversation.
