For companies like Salesforce that were early to branded podcasts, the formats and shows they use can evolve a lot over time. They had a show that ran from 2018 to 2019 called The Story that was memorable for being narrated by Alex Baldwin! In those days they partnered closely with Mission.org to be the presenting sponsor of a number of those shows. Some, like Marketing Trends and IT Visionaries are still actively publishing just with new brand partners.
Salesforce for their part is back with a vengeance with a few flagship shows. I’ll highlight a couple lessons from their newest show:
Ask More of AI
AI is a podcast space that is simultaneously popular, crowded, and challenging given how fast it is moving. I like how host and CEO of Salesforce AI Clara Shih makes that dynamic part of the interviews, bringing on tech leaders who are actively building and refining their AI offering, and asking about where the technology is heading. The other thing that stood out in the show is that Salesforce of course has its own integrated AI offering across the Salesforce clouds branded under Einstein. I like that Clara was proactive without being distracting in making sure to emphasize a few places in the conversation where it was relevant to talk about the Salesforce AI offering for customers.
