From the long history of radio shows, NPR, and the proliferation of narrative podcasts from This American Life and others, there’s a distinct radio voice and style, that can be an effective element of a branded company podcast as well.
This show from Corteva Agriscience found a perfect host and voice, Tim Hammerich has been a radio reporter and podcast host for years, with a career focused on the agriculture business. He’s able to bring the clear narration and gravitas that is immediately recognizable in a podcast. It shows that this style, while not the only way a podcast can or should sound, has a lot going for it. Bonus points too for Corteva on solid execution of the podcast logo trope of industry thing + microphone, in their case an ear of corn!
